For the past few weeks we've been working on something new.
I'm excited to release the first version of a new APEX Theme.
Still alpha, not production ready :)
Bootstrap 4 itself (the framework) doesn't look too different from Bootstrap 3, but it's a whole new beast on the inside. To see the outstanding differences, check this.
Over 20 components to choose from. Regions, items, buttons, lists, reports, we're covering a lot.
At this time we're still missing some APEX specific features (Popup LOV, tabular form, etc.). It'll come later.
Over 200 theme roller options. Yes... Because ¯\(ツ)/¯
Over 300 template options all across the board.
Here's the project roadmap:
- Follow Bootstrap 4 release cycle*
- Adapt to APEX specific components
- Addressing bugs quickly
- Create theme style that'll expand on this theme such as
*(currently v4.0.0-alpha.2 at the time of this writing)
I think the last one is the most important one. Once we've got a fully functional APEX Bootstrap 4 core theme, we'll be able to extend to rich interfaces such as the ones you see on WrapBootstrap and other theme stores.
Let me know what you think!
APEX Bootstrap 4 was originally created as a test candidate for another project that'll be unveiled soon.
Stay tuned for this one, it'll be worth it!
